From first visit to the mat, without a spreadsheet

    A visitor books from your live schedule

    They pick one or two trial-eligible classes with live headcounts. Parents book for a child. No card, no account, no app.

    They sign the waiver on their phone

    Typed name, explicit consent, guardian attestation for minors. The signature records the exact template version and renders a PDF you can produce years later.

    Coaches see them on the today view

    Every class with who is coming and their waiver state. Check in, mark a no-show, done. The trial becomes a member from the same screen.

03 / What it does

Live runs at the first academy today. Early access exists and is being tested. Planned is designed, not built.

A visitor picks one or two classes from the live schedule, signs the waiver, and gets a confirmation. No card required.

Versioned, timestamped, signed with a typed name and explicit consent. A PDF record for every signer, including guardians.

Adult, limited, kids, multi-kid, and family plans. Card or bank. Members manage their own card, pause, or cancel.

04 / Built for the mat

Modeled on how an academy runs

So nothing needs a workaround.

  • Programs are Gi, No-Gi, Kids, Fundamentals, Open Mat, Competition. Rename, recolor, or hide any of them.
  • Members have belts and stripes with a promotion history and time in grade.
  • Parents sign for kids; the guardian attestation is on the signature, not in a note.
  • Families train on one plan with per-person pricing tiers.
  • Classes filter by age, so a child is never offered the adult class.
  • Trial-eligible is a setting per program, not a hack with a second calendar.
  • Staff sign in by email with roles: owner, admin, coach. No passwords to reset at the front desk.
  • Every change is logged with who made it.

I run a jiu-jitsu academy and spent twenty years building infrastructure for other people. The software we were paying for was built for CrossFit boxes and charged us for features we would never use, while the things an academy needs were an afterthought. So I built the small thing we actually needed and I am opening it up to other owners.
